I often wonder if the care I give to imagining my children is strange. How I think of all of the ways they will surprise me and how I imagine they will freckle like me when we are out in the sunshine for hours on end. My parents, after a lifetime of travel bought a house and now I can just see my kids coming in with crooked smiles, covered in dirt and being chased by my wonderful mum.
